Headline: Barcelona’s Jesse Bisiwu Set to Miss La Liga Debut Due to Registration Delay

Barcelona has made five signings this summer, one of which is the rising star, Jesse Bisiwu. The talented Belgian was brought in from Club Brugge as a developmental investment and has already made an impact by scoring twice for coach Hansi Flick’s team in a match against FC Basel.

However, reports indicate that Bisiwu, aged 18, will not be able to make his La Liga debut for Barcelona due to a registration issue that will prevent him from participating in the upcoming match against Elche. Hansi Flick had contemplated including him in the squad, but a bureaucratic matter concerning his registration will hold him back for the time being.

Bisiwu misses out for administrative reasons

Fortunately, the situation isn’t deemed overly concerning by the club. Barcelona expects to resolve the problem soon, after which Bisiwu should be eligible to join Flick’s squad again. While waiting, the Belgian youngster engaged in training with Barça Atletic instead of the first team on Saturday. Orian Goren and Ebrima Tunkara also trained with Juliano Belletti’s side, but both are also likely to miss the trip to Elche.

    Flick had plans for Bisiwu

This timing comes as a mild setback since Flick viewed Bisiwu as a potential option to enter the game during the second half against Elche. The young winger showcased a commendable performance during pre-season, highlighted by his striking brace in Basel. These displays solidify the rationale behind Barcelona’s investment of €8.5 million in the 18-year-old talent.

While Bisiwu still exhibits elements of rawness typical of his age, his ability to challenge defenders and create opportunities in the final third offer Flick a different strategic option from the bench.

Barcelona have a clear plan for the youngster

Barcelona intends to register Bisiwu with Barça Atletic this season, ensuring he remains closely tied to Flick’s first team. This strategy provides Barcelona valuable flexibility; should first-team chances be limited, Bisiwu can still gather competitive experience with the reserves instead of spending essential months on the bench.

Despite external interest from clubs like Olympiacos, Barcelona has no plans to send him on loan. The club is confident that keeping Bisiwu close to Flick will best support his development, and his performances during pre-season have reinforced this belief. While Bisiwu’s La Liga debut may not occur against Elche, it is likely that Flick will soon provide him with an opportunity, leaving fans eager to see how much he features in the first team throughout the season.

Barcelona have made as many as five signings so far this summer, but one name that is flying under the radar is Jesse Bisiwu.

The Belgian starlet was signed from Club Brugge as a developmental bet, and he has gone on to make an impression, scoring twice for Hansi Flick’s team against FC Basel.

Now, according to SPORT, the 18-year-old will have to wait to make his La Liga bow for Barcelona, with a registration issue ruling him out of the upcoming clash against Elche.

The teenager cannot be registered in time for the game at the Martinez Valero because of a bureaucratic matter, despite Hansi Flick considering including him in the squad.

Bisiwu misses out for administrative reasons

Importantly, Barcelona do not consider the situation particularly concerning.

The problem is expected to be resolved soon, after which Bisiwu should once again be available to Flick.

In the meantime, the Belgian youngster trained with Barça Atletic on Saturday rather than the first team.

Orian Goren and Ebrima Tunkara were also involved with Juliano Belletti’s side and are expected to miss the Elche trip.

    Flick had plans for Bisiwu

The timing is slightly frustrating because Flick had been considering Bisiwu as a potential second-half option against Elche.

The winger has made an encouraging impression during pre-season and strengthened his case with an eye-catching brace in Basel.

Those performances have shown why Barcelona were willing to invest €8.5 million in a player who is still only 18.

There is rawness to his game, as would be expected at his age, but his ability to attack defenders and make things happen in the final third gives Flick a different option from the bench.

Barcelona have a clear plan for the youngster

Bisiwu will be registered with Barça Atletic this season, but the intention is for him to remain closely connected to Flick’s first team.

That arrangement should give Barcelona useful flexibility. If first-team opportunities are limited, Bisiwu can continue collecting competitive minutes with the reserves rather than spending important months sitting on the bench.

There has already been outside interest, including from Olympiacos, but Barcelona have no intention of sending him on loan.

Barcelona clearly believe Bisiwu’s development is best served by keeping him close to Flick, and his pre-season performances have done little to weaken that conviction.

His La Liga debut may not happen against Elche, but it will not be long before Flick gives him an opportunity, and it remains to be seen how involved he is in the first team this campaign.
