FC Barcelona is preparing to finalize the acquisition of one of their promising long-term investments, with Jesse Bisiwu expected to arrive in the city in the coming days, reports SPORT.

The 18-year-old winger is set to join from Club Brugge after months of negotiations, with Barça agreeing to a deal worth €10 million plus 30% of any future transfer profit.

The move is regarded as one of sporting director Deco’s strongest bets for the future.

Barcelona’s recruitment team had monitored Bisiwu for some time after scout Joao Amaral identified the player’s talent and his contractual situation through 2025.

With Bisiwu refusing to extend his contract, which was set to expire in June 2027, Club Brugge found themselves in a weakened negotiating position and chose to proceed with a transfer rather than risk a decline in his value.

Initially, Bisiwu will start with Barça Atletic under Juliano Belletti.
