Barcelona Submits Third Bid for Manchester City’s Rodri

Barcelona has put forward its third offer to secure the services of Rodri from Manchester City.

According to Marca, the Blaugrana’s latest proposal could amount to €70 million, plus potential add-ons.

The initial €45 million offer from the Spanish club was dismissed by City officials, who later countered with a revised bid of €60 million, which was also turned down.

Now, with their third bid, Barcelona expresses optimism about finally striking a deal for Rodri.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been an essential player for Manchester City, contributing to their four Premier League titles and the 2022-23 Champions League triumph.

However, he has expressed his desire not to renew his contract with the club and wishes to return to Spain.

Barcelona completed the signing of Anthony Gordon in May for €80 million and has since confirmed the acquisitions of Karim Adeyemi and Jesse Bisiwu.

The club continues to seek a high-profile striker following the transfers of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.

Barcelona is also targeting Julian Alvarez, who has shown interest in moving to Camp Nou.

However, Atletico Madrid is unwilling to let go of the Argentine, having already declined a €150 million offer from Real Madrid this summer.

Atletico remains firm in their decision, as the 26-year-old is under contract until 2030.

Barcelona have submitted their third offer to sign Rodri from Manchester City.

According to Marca, the Blaugrana’s third proposal could reach €70 million plus add-ons.

The Spanish club’s opening €45m bid was laughed off by City chiefs before they returned with an improved proposal of €60m, which was also turned down.

Now Barcelona have made a third offer, and they are confident this time about securing a deal for Rodri.

The 30-year-old has been a key first-team player for Man City over the years, helping them win four Premier League titles and the 2022-23 Champions League.

But he has made it clear he will not renew his deal at the Etihad Stadium and wants a return to Spain.

Barcelona completed the signing of Anthony Gordon in a deal worth €80m before confirming the arrivals of Karim Adeyemi and Jesse Bisiwu.

They are still in the market for a top-class striker following the departures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.

Barcelona have set their eyes firmly on Julian Alvarez, who is keen on a move to the Camp Nou.

But Atletico Madrid have no intention to part ways with the Argentine, having already rejected a €150 bid from Real Madrid earlier this summer.

Atletico are under no pressure to sell, with the 26-year-old under contract until 2030.
