Bayern Munich Aims to Secure Michael Olise Amid Real Madrid Interest
Real Madrid has built a formidable squad brimming with attacking prowess, featuring talents such as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., Yan Diomande, Rodrygo, and Arda Guler. Nevertheless, the club continues to express interest in Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise, a player they were linked with during the summer transfer window.
At that time, Bayern Munich made it clear that Olise was not on the market, prompting Los Blancos to pursue Diomande instead. However, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, Bayern is now focused on safeguarding the future of the French midfielder by offering him a new contract.
Bayern Munich is acutely aware of Florentino Perez’s admiration for Olise and is keen to secure his long-term position at the club.
Bayern Committed to Retaining Olise
Bayern Munich aims to negate any potential overtures from Los Blancos by tying Olise to an enhanced contract. The 24-year-old currently has a deal that extends until June 2029, which alleviates any immediate urgency for Bayern to negotiate his departure.
Olise’s recent performances justify the need for a new contract. He concluded the last Bundesliga season with 15 goals and 19 assists and has continued to impress, netting six goals and providing three assists in just eight appearances this season.
Real Madrid Faces Challenge in Pursuing Olise
Given Olise’s talent and his bond with Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid’s interest is not surprising. Olise, a natural left-footer, stands out as he tends to favor the right wing, distinguishing him from other attackers in the Los Blancos lineup.
His exceptional close control, creativity, and increasing goal-scoring ability make him an attractive target. Bayern acquired Olise from Crystal Palace and he has significantly developed as a player since joining.
While he seems like a promising addition to Real Madrid’s squad in the future, Bayern lacks any incentive to sell unless an exorbitant offer materializes. The negotiation of a new contract would further complicate any potential transfer discussions.
The situation remains uncertain as fans await news on whether Olise will sign a new deal with Bayern and if Real Madrid will mount a serious bid for his services.
