Forward Kelly Brady Departs Crystal Palace Following Promotion
Crystal Palace forward Kelly Brady has left the club following their promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League. The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.
The 24-year-old American forward joined Crystal Palace from SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division club Athlone Town during the January transfer window. She initially signed an 18-month deal at Selhurst Park. While Brady helped Crystal Palace secure automatic promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League, she is now moving on to a new challenge.
Brady made two appearances for Crystal Palace during the second half of the previous season. She debuted off the bench in a 4-0 victory over Durham in January and later played the final minutes of the club’s season-defining match against Portsmouth. Crystal Palace won that game 6-1 to clinch the second automatic promotion spot.
Brady’s next career move remains undisclosed. The forward previously demonstrated her goalscoring ability during her college career in the United States and maintained strong form while beginning her senior career in the Republic of Ireland with Athlone Town.
