Celtic Faces Competition for Greg Taylor Amid Sevilla’s Signing of Robbie Ure

Celtic is encountering challenges in its bid to reacquire Greg Taylor from PAOK, as both Burnley and Malaga have expressed interest in the 28-year-old left-back, who is open to a return to the Scottish champions.

In a separate transaction, Sevilla has finalized a deal to acquire Scottish striker Robbie Ure from Sirius for £7.9 million. The 22-year-old forward has signed a contract that will keep him with the team until 2031 and is expected to undergo a medical examination early next week.

Meanwhile, Rangers have intensified their efforts to sign Couhaib Driouech, a 24-year-old winger from PSV Eindhoven, by making an improved bid. Additionally, Hearts are looking to sell Greece winger Alexandros Kyziridis to a Turkish club for £1.7 million.

Hearts’ Sabri Guendouz acknowledged the team’s failure to execute head coach Wouter Vrancken’s game plan during their recent 6-1 loss to Benfica. Driouech was excluded from PSV’s squad for their match against Fortuna Sittard; however, this decision was not related to any imminent transfer.

Motherwell’s Alex Lowry is keen to honor the legacy of wearing the number 11 jersey, previously donned by Davie Cooper. Former Scotland winger Pat Nevin believes that Hibernian is heading in the right direction under David Gray’s guidance.

Dundee United’s Neil Farrugia has been absent from recent matches as part of his recovery plan for a groin issue. Dundee is now facing injury concerns for forwards Ash Hay and Joe Westley following their recent 2-0 victory over Aberdeen.

Celtic reportedly face opposition from Burnley and Malaga if they want to sign Greg Taylor from PAOK, while Sevilla appear poised to sign Robbie Ure.

Celtic will have to beat off interest from Burnley and Malaga if they want to bring Greg Taylor back to the Scottish champions, with the 28-year-old left-back open to a return from POAK. (Record – subscription required)
