Court Rules Maracanã Available for Vasco in Copa Sudamericana Clash
Vasco earned an off-field victory this Friday (9).
The club now has permission to host Boca Juniors at the Maracanã for the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana semifinals.
The ruling followed appellate judge Marco Antônio Ibrahim, president of the 23rd Private Law Chamber of the Rio de Janeiro State Court of Justice (TJRJ), who cited statements from the Military Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office backing the stadium’s use.

He argued that the Maracanã concessionaire’s arguments should not outweigh public safety guarantees.
