Crystal Palace is making strides to secure a deal for West Ham United midfielder Soungoutou Magassa, 22, as reported by RMC Sport. The young midfielder joined West Ham just a year ago from AS Monaco in a transfer deal worth €17 million. During his first season, he made 26 appearances and contributed to two goals. With West Ham’s recent relegation to the EFL Championship, uncertainties surround Magassa’s future at the club.

The report from RMC Sport indicates that Crystal Palace, under the management of Pierre Sage, has reached out to West Ham in order to inquire about the terms for Magassa’s potential departure. The French player is reportedly interested in joining the Eagles, who qualified for the UEFA Europa League after their victory in the UEFA Conference League in May.

While negotiations are currently in progress, Crystal Palace is not the only club eyeing Magassa. They are also reportedly pursuing Auxerre midfielder Kevin Danois.
