The night got worse for Briton Ferry as Luke Salter saw red in the 82nd minute, opening the door for Veale to claim his second and wrap up the three points.

Caio Hughes put in Holywell’s second before Clarke completed his treble.

Florian Yonsian’s penalty have the hosts – still looking for their first win – another glimmer of hope only for Noah Edwards to add Caernarfon’s fifth and leave Holywell rooted to the bottom of the table.

Llandudno 2-0 Haverfordwest County

Only goal difference is keeping Haverfordwest off the bottom of the table after their fifth successive defeat.

The visitors were already down to 10 men by the time Ross Weaver put Llandudno in front. Panashe Makwiramiti was shown a red card as the end of the opening period beckoned and the hosts took advantage through Weaver after the break.

Liam Higgins then ensured the home win as Llandudno climbed from fifth to fourth.

The New Saints 5-1 Colwyn Bay

Josh Lock led the way as The New Saints ran riot by hitting Colwyn Bay with five goals in the first hour.

Lock struck a brace before Rhys Hughes finished a 42nd-minute penalty.

Jordan Williams and Dominic Corness then added goals to seal a comfortable three points before Nathan Peate earned a small measure of respectability for Colwyn Bay.
