Demba Ba Leaves for Le Havre in Player Exodus

Headline: Demba Ba Leaves Le Havre AC Amid Club Departures

Le Havre AC experiences significant leadership changes as Demba Ba departs from his role as sporting director, according to a report from L’Équipe. Ba, who previously played for Newcastle United and Chelsea, took up the position at Le Havre over the summer after a successful term at USL Dunkerque in Ligue 2. However, after just four months in the role, he has chosen to leave the club.

This news follows closely on the heels of Le Havre’s decision to terminate Didier Digard’s contract as head coach. Digard was the second-longest-serving manager in Ligue 1 at the time of his dismissal, surpassed only by Paris Saint-Germain’s Luis Enrique. The decision came after a heavy 5-1 loss to PSG, leaving Le Havre struggling at the bottom of the league table with only two points from their first nine matches.

In light of the coaching change, club president Jean-Michel Roussier also announced his resignation over the weekend. As a result, Le Havre may find itself in a challenging position without a manager, sporting director, or president, placing the incoming leadership under significant pressure to rebuild the team during the ongoing season.
