Gabriel Bannigan has announced his resignation from his position as the manager of the Monaghan senior football team after two years at the forefront.
Bannigan first joined the Monaghan management team in 2022, working alongside Vinny Corey, before taking over the role of head coach in 2024.
During Bannigan’s time as manager, Monaghan achieved notable successes, including winning the Division Two title in 2025. They also reached the All-Ireland quarter-finals on two occasions, facing defeat against Donegal and Louth.
