Jude Bellingham leads England past Norway into World Cup semi-finals
England secured a spot in the World Cup 2026 semi-finals after defeating Norway 2-1 in a tense match in Miami that went to extra-time, driven by another inspired performance from Jude Bellingham.
Thomas Tuchel’s side fell behind early following an opening goal from Andreas Schjelderup. However, Jude Bellingham scored a controversial equaliser before half-time, leaving the score level at 1-1 after 90 minutes of play.
Bellingham struck again early in extra-time, pouncing on a loose shot to put England in the lead, which the Three Lions maintained to clinch the victory.
England will now face Argentina in the semi-final. Argentina reached this stage following a dramatic quarter-final victory over Switzerland that also required extra-time.
