Headline: Liverpool Eyeing Potential Transfer of Estevao Amid Chelsea’s Uncertainty
Liverpool appears to have a promising opportunity to secure a talented player from Chelsea as developments unfold within the club that could lead to a complicated situation.
On Wednesday evening, Liverpool triumphed over Chelsea in a penalty shootout at Anfield, a feat that speaks volumes considering the decisions made by Chelsea’s manager, Andoni Iraola. He opted for significant rotation, resting key players and leaving Alisson Becker on the bench, while Milos Kerkez did not make an appearance at all. Additionally, Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz missed the match due to injuries, and several regular starters, including Alexander Isak and Jeremy Jacquet, did not start the game.
Despite fielding a team with mostly second-string players, Liverpool still managed to secure victory. In contrast, Chelsea fielded a strong lineup, working around their own injuries and suspensions.
This choice may have repercussions for Chelsea, providing Liverpool with a chance to leverage the situation.
Estevao in High Demand
Chelsea signed Brazilian sensation Estevao in 2025 with much enthusiasm, yet the young player has surprisingly found limited opportunities on the pitch. Once seen as one of the most thrilling talents from Brazil, boasting 14 caps at just 19 years old, Estevao played under 900 minutes in the Premier League last season. His lack of playing time has continued into the current season, as evidenced by his status as an unused substitute in the recent EFL Cup match.
This situation indicates a diminishing trust in his abilities, and football journalist Fabrizio Romano has highlighted that Chelsea must find a way to ensure Estevao receives the game time necessary for his growth.
Currently, Estevao is not receiving enough playtime, which could result in a decline in his market value. Chelsea might face a dilemma, holding onto a player who lacks the opportunities needed to realize his potential while risking his worth deteriorating if they wait too long.
As the clock ticks, the urgency to either play or sell Estevao increases for Chelsea, creating a scenario that Liverpool can exploit. The Reds are on the lookout for a right-winger, and Estevao stands out as an exceptional talent who could meet that need.
