Fleetwood Town Set for Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals Against Everton or Newcastle
League Two side Fleetwood Town is preparing to face either Everton or Newcastle United at Highbury in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. This marks a historic achievement for Fleetwood, as they are the lowest-ranked team remaining in the competition, having recently stunned Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties this past Tuesday.
Their next opponents remain unknown, as Everton is set to host Newcastle at Hill Dickinson Stadium in the last match of the fourth round, scheduled for Thursday.
Defending champions Manchester City will play against the only other non-Premier League team, Bradford City, at Etihad Stadium, having advanced past Brighton via penalties in the previous round.
Two additional quarter-final matches will feature all-Premier League matchups, where Liverpool, who also secured their place after a penalty shootout win against Chelsea, will host Bournemouth, while Crystal Palace will face Sunderland at Selhurst Park.
The quarter-final fixtures are scheduled to take place in the week beginning 14 December.
