Fleetwood Town Sign Midfielder Andy Cannon on Three-Year Deal
Fleetwood Town have signed former Wrexham midfielder Andy Cannon on a three-year contract.
Cannon, 30, joined the club after his release from the Welsh side at the end of last season. He brings significant experience to the squad, having recorded 330 senior appearances for various teams, including Rochdale, Portsmouth, Hull City, and Stockport County.
The midfielder spent the second half of the previous season on loan at Burton Albion.
A graduate of the Rochdale academy, Cannon made his first-team debut in 2014 and quickly established himself as a key player at Spotland. He transitioned to Portsmouth in January 2019, where he played for two years before moving to Championship side Hull City.
In December 2022, Cannon transferred to Wrexham. He played a central role during a successful era for the club, contributing to three consecutive promotions that took the Red Dragons from the National League up to the Championship.
