Nottingham Forest’s Steve Hodge Claims Team Outperformed Liverpool in Draw

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Steve Hodge stated that Oliver Glasner’s team “were the better team” in their match against Liverpool and deserved to secure a victory.

Forest fans had high hopes for a third consecutive league win at Anfield when Morgan Gibbs-White converted a penalty to give them the lead. However, Liverpool fought back, and a late strike from Victor Munoz resulted in a draw, leaving both teams with a point.

“We should have won [the match] with the chances we created, especially in the first half,” Hodge commented during an interview on BBC Radio Nottingham. He expressed concern over Liverpool’s performance, describing them as “really lacklustre” and noting that they appeared weak defensively at times.

“Forest have gone to Anfield and scored two goals and overall were the better team. They had better team cohesion,” Hodge added, emphasizing his belief that Nottingham Forest outplayed their opponents.
