Ki-Jana Hoever Transfers to Sparta Prague in Multi-Year Deal
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ki-Jana Hoever has completed a transfer to Sparta Prague for an undisclosed fee on a multi-year contract. The 24-year-old Dutch player originally joined Wolves from Liverpool in September 2020 and accumulated a total of 33 appearances in all competitions. However, he spent a significant portion of his time at the club on loan.
Hoever had a brief return to the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven, along with two separate loan spells at Stoke City. He also played for Auxerre and Sheffield United during his time away from Wolverhampton.
“When you’re not in a rhythm of playing regularly it’s tough. You return from a loan and you’re not fully part of it, so he’s suffered,” said technical director Matt Jackson in a statement on the club’s website.
