Ipswich Town Signs Hearts Forward Georgia Timms
Ipswich Town has completed the signing of Hearts forward Georgia Timms on a permanent deal. The Tractor Girls confirmed the transfer via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 28-year-old spent the last four seasons playing in Scotland with Hearts. She joined the club on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 after departing former Barclays WSL2 side Lewes. During her four years with The Jambos, Timms scored 45 goals. She helped Hearts win the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) title last season, marking the first time in the club’s history that they became champions of Scotland.
Timms originally built her reputation in the English FA Women’s National League with Oxford United. As a consistent goalscorer for The Yellows, she earned the opportunity to move up to the second tier with Lewes.
Regarding her move to Ipswich Town, Timms said, “I’m so happy to be here. The club, the direction it’s going in and speaking with the manager [David Wright] and speaking to Sean [Burt], it was the move that I wanted.”
Timms represents Ipswich Town’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window. She is the fifth player to join The Tractor Girls from the SWPL this summer.
