Italian sources confirm Liverpool has allowed Curtis Jones to travel for his medical with Inter Milan after the clubs reached an agreement on a transfer fee. The deal is worth €30 million, with an additional €5 million in performance-related add-ons, plus a sell-on clause.

Sky Sport Italia first reported the news, which was later confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and other outlets following a verbal agreement earlier today.

It is believed that the total compensation could reach approximately €35 million with performance-related bonuses, although Liverpool will secure a 10 percent cut from any future sale of the player.

Inter officially submitted a written offer this evening, which Liverpool accepted.

Jones has been granted permission to travel and is expected to arrive in Italy on Thursday. He aims to complete his medical tests and finalize the signing with Inter this weekend.

Inter has pursued the England international since January, but Liverpool initially stood firm on their asking price of €40 million.

With Jones’s contract set to expire at the end of the season and his desire to embark on this new chapter in Serie A, a compromise was necessary.

Jones will become the third England international to join the reigning Serie A champions this summer, following the arrivals of John Stones and Djed Spence.

The total sum is believed to be circa €35m including performance-related bonus, but Liverpool will retain a 10 per cent cut of the future sale.

Inter sent a written proposal this evening, and it was accepted by the Premier League side.
