Konstantinos Karetsas, 18, expressed his excitement after experiencing a lively crowd at Signal Iduna Park following Borussia Dortmund’s 2-0 victory over Hamburg on Saturday.

The Black and Yellows started their Bundesliga season on a strong note, earning three crucial points. Karetsas played an integral role in the match, providing an assist on his league debut and showcasing a solid performance throughout. After the game, he shared his enjoyment of competing in the German top flight for the first time.

“I really enjoyed my first Bundesliga game. It was my first time playing in front of the Yellow Wall with all the fans! It was so loud. That was the best part for me today. During every significant play, we could hear the whole stadium. This is a new experience for me, and I’m incredibly grateful for it,” Karetsas told Sky Germany after the match.

Throughout the game, Karetsas recorded four shots, with three hitting the target, and successfully completed four out of six attempted dribbles. The winger, who transferred from Genk this summer for €30 million, hopes to build on his impressive pre-season form in the Bundesliga, while aiming for growth in team performance.

“In the end, I lacked a bit of efficiency. I should have scored. We need to work on our efficiency as a team in upcoming games as well. We need to take it one game at a time now. With our fans behind us, anything is possible,” he concluded.
