Headline: Le Havre Manager Didier Digard Relieved of Duties Following Disappointing Start to Season
Le Havre has reportedly parted ways with manager Didier Digard, according to information from L’Équipe. The decision comes after the club found itself at the bottom of Ligue 1, suffering seven defeats and earning only two points from nine league matches. Le Havre faced yet another disappointing result on Friday, losing 1-5 to Paris Saint-Germain. This further prompted the Blue Crow Sports Group, the club’s American owner, to make a change.
Digard, a former midfielder, took charge of Le Havre in 2024 and extended his contract last summer after successfully keeping the team in the top flight for two seasons. However, just three months into the new season, he becomes the first manager in Ligue 1 to be dismissed for the 2026-27 campaign.
Le Havre has now lost five consecutive matches and has upcoming fixtures against Lorient, Troyes, RC Strasbourg-Alsace, RC Lens, and Le Mans before the winter break, leaving them five points behind the safety zone.
