Liverpool’s Sporting Director Focuses on Team Revamp Before Move to Al-Hilal

Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, is prioritizing essential tasks at Anfield before heading to his new role with Al-Hilal. Despite already welcoming new signings Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo, there remain significant gaps in the squad that need addressing.

The club’s primary objective this season is to contend for silverware and challenge for the Premier League title. Key to achieving this is finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who has been the team’s leading attacker over the past several years.

Amid a challenging right-wing market, Liverpool faces a dilemma. With top prospects like Antoine Semenyo and Yan Diomande now off the market, they are left to explore less conventional options due to the recent injury to Yankuba Minteh. This situation may compel them to pay a premium for players like Bradley Barcola or consider taking a chance on Ibrahim Mbaye.

Recent updates from football journalist Fabrizio Romano reveal that Iliman Ndiaye has declined an offer from Al-Hilal, expressing his desire to remain in the Premier League. He reportedly turned down a lucrative deal to continue playing in England.

Given Ndiaye’s interest in staying within the league, Liverpool should consider making a concerted effort to secure his services from Everton. Although acquiring him might seem challenging, his experience and versatility make him an appealing target. The 26-year-old has been a standout performer for Everton, contributing to nine goals last season alone.

While his statistics differ from Salah’s impressive record, Ndiaye’s familiarization with the Premier League and ability to play across multiple attacking roles align with Liverpool’s needs. If the Reds enter the negotiation arena, they must be prepared for Everton to increase their asking price. However, Ndiaye’s fit with the club’s future plans could prove advantageous.

The Liverpool fanbase eagerly awaits news of potential transfer targets as the club looks to augment its roster ahead of the upcoming season.

Richard Hughes still has a lot of work to do on Liverpool‘s team before he packs his bags and heads to Al-Hilal.

Liverpool’s sporting director has already got his next job lined up despite still needing to get things sorted at Anfield.

And, while he may have already welcomed Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo, there are still a fair few gaps among their ranks that need filling.

The Reds’ main goal this season will be to try and win some silverware and at least challenge for the Premier League title again.

So, replacing Mohamed Salah, who has been their main attacker over the last five or so years, is essential.

And now, the perfect player for Liverpool to do that with has just emerged.

Iliman Ndiaye has turned down Al-Hilal as he wants to stay in the Premier League

At the moment, the right-wing market is rather dire.

The best options for that role were Antoine Semenyo and Yan Diomande.

However, now that they have both joined new clubs, Liverpool have been left picking up the scraps with even Yankuba Minteh being ruled out of a transfer thanks to an injury he recently sustained.

This means that Liverpool are either going to have to spend a premium price to sign Bradley Barcola or take a risk on bringing Ibrahim Mbaye in.

Or, that is until this latest update from Fabrizio Romano emerged.

“Understand Iliman Ndiaye has decided not to proceed with Al Hilal deal: he wants to stay in Premier League,” he shared via X.

“No to Saudi Arabia move despite big money on the table; Everton winger wants to continue in Premier League, decision made.”

Liverpool should try and do everything they can to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton

Of course, signing Iliman Ndiaye may seem like mission impossible.

But, since the Senegal international wants to stay in the Premier League and Liverpool need a right-winger, it feels like they’d be a good match.

The attacker has been one of Everton’s best players over the last couple of years and, last season, he even managed to contribute to nine goals across all competitions.

Indeed, this isn’t the same numbers as what Salah put out last term but, the fact that he’s already got plenty of experience in England and can play on either wing as well as in the number 10 make him an ideal target for Liverpool.

Ndiaye is also only 26 years old so, even though he’s already a very good player, there’s a chance for him to become even better in the future.

Indeed, if Liverpool were to throw their hat into the ring, Everton would add extra money on their valuation for him but, the fact that he’d be able to fit into Iraola’s plans perfectly really plays in his favour.

Here’s hoping that the Reds’ fanbase receive some clarity on who their next transfer targets are going to be.
