Ruben Amorim Names 26-Man Squad for Milan Pre-Season Training
Coach Ruben Amorim has named a 26-man squad for the first phase of AC Milan pre-season training, which includes new signing Mario Gila. The group also provides an opportunity for various young players and those returning from loan spells to impress the new manager.
The Rossoneri gather at the Milanello training camp on Monday, July 13, marking the official start of work for the new tactician.
Gila joins the rest of the squad immediately following his transfer from Lazio, while Goncalo Ramos remains on vacation due to his involvement in Portugal’s World Cup campaign.
Amorim stated that he intends to evaluate the current squad thoroughly before making final decisions regarding potential incomings or outgoings in the summer transfer market.
Players returning from loan deals who are eager to prove their worth to the coaching staff include Samuel Chukwueze, Francesco Camarda, and Yunus Musah.
Several young talents are also competing for a spot, including 18-year-old winger Aurelien Guernier, who recently arrived from Birmingham City, and striker Andrej Kostic.
Christian Comotto joins the sessions fresh from Italy’s participation in the European Under-19 Championship.
Kevin Zeroli misses out on the initial training camp, as he concluded his season late with Juve Stabia during the Serie B promotion play-offs; he is not expected to remain with the club.
