Reports indicate that Cagliari has reached out to Quintero, and the discussions are ongoing, despite a notable gap between the offer and the player’s valuation.

The fans are excited about the prospect, and Mina is playing a key role in efforts to finalize the deal. He recently engaged on social media regarding the negotiations and even tagged Quintero directly in a post.
This transfer would mark Quintero’s return to Serie A, where he previously played for Pescara during the 2012-13 season.

Quintero has been with River Plate since leaving CD America in July 2025 and has a release clause in his contract set at $30 million.
He has earned 53 senior caps for Colombia and participated in the 2026 World Cup, playing in four of his country’s five matches.
