Nahuel Molina Arrives in Rome to Finalize Move to AS Roma

Nahuel Molina has landed in Rome as he prepares to complete his transfer to AS Roma. The right-back is set to undergo a medical examination before finalizing his contract.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, Molina arrived in the capital as scheduled and will undertake his medical tests in the coming hours, following which he is expected to sign a multi-year deal with the Giallorossi.

The full-back joins Roma from Atlético Madrid, becoming a key addition to coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s summer rebuilding strategy.

Molina answers Gasperini’s call for enhanced quality on the right flank. As a World Cup winner with Argentina in 2022, he brings significant experience and offensive capabilities to the team. His signing also allows Roma to move forward with other transfer targets, including a new attacking midfielder. The club has shown interest in players like Antonio Nusa, Malick Fofana, Jamie Gittens, and Porto’s Rodrigo Mora.

With Molina’s arrival, Roma has made a strong start in fulfilling Gasperini’s requests for reinforcements during the transfer window, which has already seen the signings of Santiago Castro and Konstantinos Koulierakis.

Nahuel Molina has arrived in Rome to complete his move to Roma, with the right-back set to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Argentine touched down in the capital in line with the expected timeline, and will complete his tests in the coming hours ahead of signing a multi-year contract with the Giallorossi.

Molina answers Gasperini’s call for right-flank quality at Roma

The deal fulfils a specific request from the Roma coach, who had pushed for greater quality down the right flank.

Molina, a World Cup winner with Argentina in 2022, brings experience and attacking thrust to the position, and his signing frees Roma to press ahead with the rest of their wide business, most notably the pursuit of a new attacking midfielder, a search that has taken in Antonio Nusa, Malick Fofana, Jamie Gittens and, most recently, Porto’s Rodrigo Mora.

With Molina now over the line, Roma have delivered the first of the reinforcements Gasperini asked for, in a window that has already brought Santiago Castro and Konstantinos Koulierakis to Trigoria.
