Mourinho’s Real Madrid Receives Praise from Former Star: ‘The Team Is More United’

Real Madrid Continues Impressive Form with Victory Over Racing Club

Real Madrid’s performance is steadily improving as they showcase a higher level of play with each match. The team achieved a significant victory against Barcelona last weekend, highlighted by Kylian Mbappe’s two goals that secured three points at the Spotify Camp Nou. Following this success, the pivotal question was whether they could maintain their momentum.

In their latest outing last evening, Real Madrid faced Racing Club away from home and managed to achieve another emphatic victory. The outcome appeared decided by the end of the first half.

Former player Rafa Alkorta commended Real Madrid for their resurgence in stability and form, emphasizing key figures and aspects of Jose Mourinho’s system. He expressed his enthusiasm for witnessing Real Madrid dominate matches from the onset and noted the team’s newfound organization.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Madrid dominate the opening 20 minutes like that. Everyone is in their position, and everyone tracks back and does their defensive duties when required,” he stated, as quoted by Defensa Central.

Alkorta particularly lauded Jude Bellingham, highlighting his impressive goal-scoring ability.

“Bellingham is so good at making runs into the box. What a player! The way he attacks the far post is incredible,” he added.

Alkorta also praised Mourinho’s strategies, noting that the manager effectively plays to Real Madrid’s strengths while targeting opponents’ vulnerabilities.

“The most important thing, beyond what you do yourself, is what you prevent your opponent from doing. The team is more united, selfless and clear about what it wants to do,” he remarked.

“It seems Mourinho has found his starting eleven, and at the same time, they’re neutralising their opponents,” he continued.

“You improve your own game while limiting the opposition. Real Madrid had been missing that for a long time,” he concluded.

Lastly, Alkorta stressed the significance of effective man-management and utilizing substitutions efficiently during matches.

“It was a game that was already under control. By the 60th minute, you should be making certain substitutions to manage the players’ workload,” he noted.
