Napoli Considers Summer Move for Udinese Defender Oumar Solet
Napoli is contemplating a potential transfer for Udinese centre-back Oumar Solet, although any agreement is more likely to occur next summer rather than this January.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Partenopei have maintained an interest in the French defender since their assessment of him during the last transfer window. Negotiations stalled previously due to Udinese’s high asking price, which also led Inter to withdraw their interest and sign John Stones instead.

Defensive reinforcements are not Napoli’s primary focus for January. The club is prioritizing the acquisition of at least one midfielder and a striker. However, Udinese has been a familiar negotiating partner for Napoli, making a defensive overhaul plausible at the end of the season.

Midfield and Attack Targets for Napoli
Napoli has expanded its list of midfield prospects, which now includes players like Lassana Coulibaly, Zorgane, Alessandro Romano from Cagliari, Bergwall, and Aranda. Romano, who is owned by Roma, could be acquired by Cagliari for €5 million.

In the forward position, Gustavo Varela from Monza emerges as a significant option, although the Brianzoli are reluctant to part with him. Varela is set to face Napoli this evening.

Currently, Solet is nursing a leg injury and was unable to participate in the recent match against Milan as well as the upcoming fixture against Parma.
