Orsolini’s Praise for Bologna’s Palladino Highlights Concerns for Tedesco

Bologna FC Secures Fourth Consecutive Victory Under Coach Raffaele Palladino

Bologna FC celebrated their fourth consecutive win under the guidance of newly appointed coach Raffaele Palladino, with player Riccardo Orsolini attributing their resurgence to a collective effort following the departure of previous manager Domenico Tedesco. “We’re enjoying ourselves again,” Orsolini stated after their latest triumph.

The Rossoblu’s season began poorly under Tedesco, where they managed to secure just one point from their first four matches in Serie A, suffering three narrow 1-0 defeats. Tedesco was dismissed on September 16 to make way for Palladino, marking a significant shift in the team’s fortunes.

Since Palladino took over, Bologna has shown remarkable improvement, initially drawing their opening match before claiming victory in five of the next six fixtures, with their only setback being a 3-1 loss to Inter Milan.

In a post-match interview following a 2-1 away win against Parma, Orsolini remarked, “The coach arrived in a bit of a rush, because we had started so badly and there was no time to discuss too much.” He emphasized the necessity of securing victories, praising Palladino for uniting the players and restoring team spirit. He noted, “We lost some important players over the summer, but the skeleton of that team remained.”

While he commended Palladino’s impact on the team, Orsolini made a point to highlight the success of previous Bologna managers, omitting any mention of Tedesco in his praise.

Reflecting on his tenure, Orsolini said, “I’ve been here for many years and went through a lot of different situations. I enjoyed myself with Thiago Motta, with Vincenzo Italiano, and now we are enjoying ourselves again with Palladino.”

Bologna’s positive momentum continues as they aim to improve their standing in Serie A, with their recent victories against Cagliari, Milan, Monza, and Parma—three of which were on the road. Notably, Orsolini scored his second goal of the season during this match, marking his return after nearly a month sidelined due to a thigh injury.
