Headline: Oxford United Secures Loan Deal for Kai Andrews from Coventry City

Oxford United has successfully acquired midfielder Kai Andrews on loan from Coventry City until January. The 20-year-old player made nine appearances across all competitions for the Sky Blues last season and later spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Scottish Premiership team Hibernian, where he netted one goal in 11 matches.

This season, Andrews has yet to feature for Coventry following their promotion to the Premier League.

A Wales international, he will now train under head coach Aaron Ramsey, who is also a former Wales midfielder, at Oxford United.

Currently, Oxford is working under a transfer embargo. As a result, they will not pay a loan fee or contribute to Andrews’ wages and have received special approval from the English Football League to finalize the agreement.

The U’s are set to face Huddersfield Town in their next League One match on Tuesday.

Andrews has not played for Coventry this season since their promotion to the Premier League.

He is a Wales international and will work under head coach Aaron Ramsey – a former Wales midfielder himself – at Oxford.

Oxford are currently operating under a transfer embargo. They will not pay a loan fee or anything towards Andrews’ wages, and said they have received special dispensation from the English Football League to register the deal.

The U’s visit Huddersfield Town for their next game in League One on Tuesday.
