Reports from Argentina indicate that Lanus striker Thomas de Martis is on the brink of joining Parma on loan, featuring an option to buy or potentially extending his stay.

The 18-year-old talent, who celebrated his birthday in June, has been a standout performer for Argentina’s Under-17 team, netting nine goals in 15 appearances. He is now advancing to the Under-20 squad.

A product of the Lanus youth academy, de Martis began his professional career in January 2026 and has registered one goal in eight appearances this season.

According to Tribuna, Cesar Luis Merlo and Gianluca Di Marzio, Parma is finalizing the details for the centre-forward.

The agreement is expected to feature a loan with an option to purchase at the conclusion of the season, while also allowing the Serie A club to extend the loan for an additional year.

This development follows Parma’s recent acquisition of El Bilal Touré on loan from Atalanta, which carries an obligation to buy contingent upon certain conditions.

Additionally, the club is in the process of selling Mateo Pellegrino to Fiorentina for around €20 million.

It should be a loan with option to buy at the end of the season, but notably also gives the Serie A team the opportunity to extend the loan by another campaign.

This comes after the Ducali already secured El Bilal Touré from Atalanta on loan with obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

They are also in the process of selling Mateo Pellegrino to Fiorentina for a total fee of around €20m.
