Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) began their season on a high note with a win in the UEFA Super Cup last night. Following the match, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi expressed his pride in the team’s performance, especially considering that most players have only just returned from post-World Cup breaks.

“This is the perfect match for us given our form; we’re very proud,” Al-Khelaifi stated. “It’s not easy to win, for you yes, but not for us. The players have this mentality, the coach, the fans… we have to keep going like this.”

Regarding potential incoming transfers before the window closes, Al-Khelaifi remained tight-lipped, simply stating, “That’s a secret.”
