Real Madrid Pursues RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande in Transfer Talks
Real Madrid have entered the race to sign RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande. According to The Athletic, the Spanish giants have opened talks to secure his signature.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a sensational breakthrough campaign in Germany last season.

Diomande registered 12 goals and nine assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances after joining Leipzig from Leganes just a year ago.
His rapid development has attracted interest from several elite clubs, but Real Madrid have now emerged as serious contenders for his signature.
Paris Saint-Germain remain admirers of the Ivory Coast international, and Diomande is understood to have favoured a move to the reigning European champions.
However, the French club have yet to submit an offer capable of persuading Leipzig to consider selling the winger this summer. Madrid’s interest will likely shake things up.
The La Liga giants have been searching for a right-sided attacking option after abandoning hopes of signing Michael Olise.

Bayern Munich made it clear the France international was not available for transfer, and Los Blancos backed off.
Brahim Diaz is expected to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu despite speculation over his future.
Still, Los Blancos continue to explore reinforcements in wide attacking areas and now see Diomande as a top target.
Capable of operating on either wing but most effective from the right, Diomande’s versatility is viewed as a major asset by Madrid’s recruitment team.
Liverpool were also credited with strong interest earlier in the transfer window. Reports suggest an approach worth close to €100 million was made and rebuffed.

Leipzig value the teenager considerably higher. The Saxony club is holding out for a fee of around €130 million.
The Bundesliga club remain optimistic they can keep hold of Diomande beyond this summer.
His current contract runs until 2030, and Leipzig are attempting to negotiate improved terms as they look to fend off interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
