Mowi Premiership underdogs Skye emphatically defeated Oban Camanachd 4-0 in Portree, marking a sharp comedown for the Argyllshire team just a week after their Macaulay Cup triumph.

The league standings remained unchanged at the top, with leaders Newtonmore securing a 6-0 victory against Kinlochshiel, while Kingussie dominated Kyles with a substantial 7-0 win at Tighnabruich. Col Glen fell two points shy of safety, managing only a late 3-3 draw against Caberfeidh.

In a fierce local derby, Fort William triumphed over Lochaber with a 3-0 scoreline at An Aird.

Lovat assured themselves of the second promotion spot in the National Division alongside leaders Glenurquhart with a home win of 3-1 against Beauly. However, the title race remains unresolved, despite Glenurquhart’s 3-1 victory over Inveraray.

Dan MacDonald stood out for Skye, scoring twice just before the half-time whistle to push the team to a 2-0 lead, before completing his hat-trick following Archie Millar’s third goal for Skye.

Newtonmore’s goal tally included doubles from Euan Dingwall and Steven MacDonald, alongside an early goal from Brodie MacBean and a penalty shot converted by Iain Robinson.

Kingussie’s solid performance featured a hat-trick from Zander Michie, along with contributions from Rory Munro, Jack Nelson, and Ruaridh Anderson that established a quick 3-0 lead, and another from Lee Bain.

At Clachan of Glendaruel, Blair Morrison and Gavin MacLaughlan scored for Caberfeidh, but Col Glen’s Marcus Keith and Neily MacNaughton managed to equalize. Scott MacVicar then restored the lead for the home team before Jamie MacKintosh leveled again for Caberfeidh in stoppage time.

Fort’s scoring spree included two goals from Jack Kearney after Hamish Shaw opened the tally, all occurring in the first half.
