Tamworth clinched a hard-fought home win against Worthing in a thrilling encounter that saw the visitors finish with only nine players.

Jack Wadham opened the scoring for Worthing with a powerful shot from 30 yards, finding the bottom corner and leaving the Tamworth goalkeeper with no chance.

After halftime, Tamworth responded positively with Dan Creaney leveling the match in the 54th minute, keeping his team firmly in contention.

In the 72nd minute, Worthing’s Jose Marquez netted his first goal for the club, putting them back in the lead, but soon after, the momentum shifted as Wadham was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

The final minutes were packed with action as Dominic Hutchinson of Worthing received a red card for handball. Tamworth capitalized on this opportunity, with Nathan Tshikuna converting the resulting penalty.
