Tomori Injury Worsens Milan’s Concerns Before Inter Derby

Headline: Milan’s Fikayo Tomori Suffers Injury in 4-2 Defeat to Bologna Ahead of Inter Derby

Milan defender Fikayo Tomori left the pitch due to an injury during the match against Bologna, raising concerns for the Rossoneri as they prepare for Saturday’s derby against Inter.

Tomori started the Serie A clash against Bologna but sustained a suspected thigh injury in the first half. The former Chelsea player continued until the halftime break but was ultimately substituted.

Milan, who lost the game 4-2 to the Rossoblu, now faces an already challenging situation with Tomori’s injury compounding their worries ahead of the upcoming derby. In a post-match interview with DAZN, Milan coach Ruben Amorim indicated that Tomori might have a “problem,” which will be evaluated soon.

The Rossoneri also faced significant challenges during the match, as eight players remained unavailable, including key starters Mario Gila, Adrien Rabiot, Samuel Chukwueze, and summer signing Diego Moreira.

It remains uncertain whether any of these players will be fit for the next match. “Tomorrow, we’ll make assessments and see which players are available,” Amorim stated in a post-match press conference, according to Milannews.

Today’s defeat marks Milan’s first loss in Serie A this season and their third defeat in 12 matches across all competitions.
