Headline: Michael Olise Shines Despite Being Overlooked at Ballon d’Or Gala
Teammate Harry Kane may have won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, but Michael Olise was largely overlooked at the gala. Or at least he flew surprisingly under the radar of many of the journalists voting. The Frenchman finished ninth in the end.
Perhaps that little snub gave the Bayern star extra motivation for today’s cup clash against 1. FC Magdeburg.
Olise is by far the standout player at the Allianz Arena. He has contributed two goals and an assist to the current 3–1 scoreline. Monsieur Nonchalant casually netted his second with a Panenka penalty.
