Liverpool Faces Time Crunch to Resolve Harvey Elliott’s Future

Liverpool has received clarity regarding the status of one of their attackers.

The Reds are now under one week to finalize their squad before the transfer window closes.

Andoni Iraola has already made three new signings this summer, but despite these positive moves, none truly signal a title-contending side.

Among the new arrivals, Ronald Araujo stands out as the most notable signing, yet even he raises some concerns.

However, the fact that Liverpool has not yet finalized their squad with less than a week remaining before the transfer window closes is a worrying sign.

The transfer rumor mill is buzzing, but concrete news about the Reds’ plans for an attacker has finally emerged.

Anfield Watch reports that Harvey Elliott is not currently being pursued by AC Milan.

The English player was omitted from Iraola’s squad for the match against Newcastle due to his underwhelming pre-season performances.

This development raises questions and suggests that his future seems to be on a different path.

Since Jurgen Klopp’s departure, Elliott has seen his standing within the team diminish.

Many anticipated his exit from Anfield last season after his loan transfer to Aston Villa was confirmed; however, a lack of faith from Unai Emery meant that he only managed to play nine games, preventing the obligation to buy from activating.

This scenario has resulted in a flurry of clubs being connected to Elliott, but with AC Milan now out of the picture, the opportunities for his next destination are narrowing.

While some supporters may have held out hope for Elliott‘s potential resurgence under Iraola, it appears his opportunity may have already slipped away.

The young player was once regarded as a significant talent during Klopp’s tenure, showcasing promise during the Under-21 Euros last summer.

Yet, following a series of disappointing performances in pre-season, it seems his career at Liverpool is nearing its conclusion.

With less than a week until the summer transfer window closes, it is imperative for him to be relocated swiftly.

His contract, which is valid until June 2027, means he may be available at a lower cost, but at this point, anything is better than remaining in limbo.

The hope is that Elliott’s situation will be resolved soon and that Liverpool can facilitate his move to a new club.

Liverpool have finally had clarification on the future of one of their attackers.

The Reds now have less than a week to get all of their ducks in a row before the transfer window slams shut.

Andoni Iraola has made three new additions to his squad already this summer and, while these were all positive purchases, it still doesn’t none of them really scream title challengers.

Indeed, Ronald Araujo is the highest-profile player that has been brought in but, even the Uruguayan has some question marks hanging over him.

However, the fact that Liverpool still haven’t got their squad confirmed yet with less than a week left of the window is massively concerning.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive but now, it finally seems like some clarity has been shared about the Reds’ plans for an attacker.

Anfield Watch understands Harvey Elliott is not a target for AC Milan.

The Englishman was left out of Andoni Iraola’s squad against Newcastle over the weekend for no other reason than the fact the Spaniard wasn’t impressed with his pre-season performances.

This caused many questions to arise and more or less confirmed that the 23 year old’s future lies elsewhere.

Ever since Jurgen Klopp left Liverpool, Elliott has been moved further and further down the pecking order.

Most people expected him to exit Anfield last term after his loan move to Aston Villa was confirmed but, since Unai Emery didn’t like what he saw, the Englishman only ended up playing nine games so that their obligation to buy didn’t kick in.

This has led to many clubs being linked with Elliott but, now that AC Milan are out of the race, the clubs he could end up joining are thinning.

Liverpool need to find a club that wants to sign Harvey Elliott soon

Although some fans may have thought that Elliott had a chance of reviving his Liverpool career under Iraola, it seems like that chance has already gone.

The Englishman was one of Klopp’s star boys and, when the German was at the helm, he genuinely looked like a generational talent.

In fact, his performances last summer during the Under-21 Euros proved that he still has a lot of skill within him.

However, after one too many lacklustre outings in pre-season, it seems like his time in L4 is up.

This means that, with less than a week left of the summer transfer window, a new home needs to be found for him as soon as possible.

His contract is set to expire in June 2027 which means he’ll be available for a cut-rate fee but, at this point, it’s better than nothing.

Here’s hoping that Elliott’s situation gets resolved and Liverpool manage to find him a new home.
