Bolton Secures Vital Victory in Championship Match Against Charlton Athletic
Bolton Wanderers earned a crucial 1-0 victory over Charlton Athletic in their recent Championship matchup. Following the game, Bolton’s manager, Steven Schumacher, shared his thoughts with BBC Radio Manchester, expressing his satisfaction with the outcome.
“Delighted because three points in any game at this level is massive for us,” Schumacher remarked. He emphasized the importance of gaining points while encountering challenging opponents, highlighting the team’s ability to secure a clean sheet and perform well.
The manager noted, “So it’s another tick in the box for us as well to come to another tough away place to play, get a clean sheet and play well to an extent. I think we’ve played better football this year.”
Acknowledging a hint of fatigue among the players, Schumacher added, “I see there was a little bit of tiredness in there in some of the aspects of the game, but we had to really dig in to get three points on the board and we needed everybody to contribute to that.”
