Eintracht Frankfurt has officially announced the signing of Noël Aséko from Bayern Munich. The accomplished German youth international, who had been linked with his new Bundesliga outfit for quite some time, has signed a five-year deal with RheinMainAdler. According to a report from Kicker, Eintracht has reached an agreement with Bayern Munich that will result in €13 million going to the German record champions.
Aséko’s success during his loan spell at Hannover 96 in the 2. Bundesliga last year, coupled with several standout performances for the Germany U21s, saw the 20-year-old elevate his estimated market value from €700,000 to €12 million in just over a year. This performance prompted Bayern to exercise a buyback option on their former academy player during the current summer 2026 transfer market.

Prolonged Negotiations Over Noël Aséko
Reports indicated that Bayern was seeking over €15 million for Aséko. Initially, Max Eberl and the FCB management had considered the Berlin-born player as a suitable replacement for Leon Goretzka, who recently departed the club. The recent expenditure of approximately €100 million on new signings Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown also influenced the negotiations.
Taking these factors into account, Bayern held out for a higher transfer fee. Major German football outlets like Kicker have not disclosed additional details concerning potential bonus payments at this time; however, it is likely that such bonuses are included in the agreement. Furthermore, Bayern appears to have included another buyback option.
Comments on Aseko’s Transfer
“Two years ago, Noël Aséko was already part of Bayern’s extended squad of professionals for good reason,” remarked SGE Board Member for Sport Markus Krösche in a statement regarding the signing. “Since then, he has impressively demonstrated in Hannover that he possesses the physical attributes to step up to the Bundesliga level.“

“Noël developed at our FC Bayern campus and now wants to take the next step in Frankfurt by playing regularly in the Bundesliga,” explained Krösche’s counterpart Eberl. “Examples like this clearly show how young talents make the leap into professional football through FC Bayern. We wish Noël all the best for his future.“
“It means a great deal to me to be here,” Aséko stated in his own words. “The discussions with the club officials were very open and respectful from the start, and I was presented with a clear plan for my future development. The move to Eintracht is an important step in my career. I’m convinced that Frankfurt is the right place for me. I can’t wait to get to know the team, the coaching staff, the club, and the fans.“
