In a historic moment for Jersey Bulls, Jarma Mohamed has become the first player in the club’s history to receive an international call-up while actively playing for the team.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been recalled to represent Somalia in their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana.

The summer signing previously played for Somalia in a match against Mauritius in March.
Mohamed, who developed his skills at the academies of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Wigan Athletic, has been instrumental in Jersey Bulls’ success this season, participating in all 15 fixtures in the Isthmian League South Central and helping the team rise to the top of the table.
“This is an incredibly proud moment for everyone associated with Jersey Bulls Football Club,” said Ian Horswell, the club director.
“For Jarma to become the first player in our club’s history to receive a full senior international call-up whilst representing Jersey Bulls is a fantastic achievement, both for him personally and for our football club.”

“Since his arrival in Jersey, Jarma has embraced everything about the island and our club. His attitude, commitment, and professionalism have been exemplary, and he serves as a tremendous example to his teammates and the young players coming through our academy.
“We are an amateur football club with big ambitions, and seeing one of our players recognized on the international stage is another significant milestone in our journey.”
Somalia will face Ghana on November 12, with the home match scheduled four days later.
