New San Siro to be Named Generali Stadium, Confirm Inter and Milan

Milan and Inter Unveil Generali Stadium as New Arena’s Name

The newly planned arena for AC Milan and Inter, located at San Siro, will officially be named Generali Stadium. This announcement came during a joint press conference at Sforzesco Castle, where initial details about the stadium’s design were shared.

The design features a basin shape and will be constructed atop a raised podium, although the images of the design remain under embargo until later today. As part of the deal, the naming rights have been sold to the insurance company Generali, which will guarantee the visibility of the new name on the stadium’s exterior.

New San Siro Takes Shape

The overall design has been characterized by its steep stands, aimed at providing clear sightlines for all attendees. Initial plans include dividing the first tier into two sections, each housing approximately 11,500 seats in respective ‘curva’ areas.

Both clubs plan to commence construction in 2027, with aspirations to have the project fully completed by 2031. This timeline aligns with Italy’s role as a co-host for EURO 2032 alongside Turkiye, which will spotlight the new venue in future international competitions.
