Injury Concerns Surface Early for Roma as Robinio Vaz Faces Sidelining
Roma’s season is off to a difficult start as the club reports its first injuries at the Trigoria training ground.
The squad gathered at the facility on July 13th to begin their first training session of the upcoming football season. However, Robinio Vaz was unable to participate in the activities.
The 17-year-old French forward, who joined the club from Marseille during the January transfer window, sustained a collateral ligament injury in his knee.
According to journalist Filippo Biafora, the player faces a recovery period of several weeks. While this injury rules him out of the initial home friendlies, he may return in time for the match against Cardiff on August 1st.
The long-term future of Vaz in the Italian capital remains uncertain. Reports suggest manager Gian Piero Gasperini is seeking more experienced reinforcements and has identified Club Brugge’s Nicolò Tresoldi as a target to replace Malen. Despite this, Vaz could still remain with the team as a third-choice striker, providing necessary depth as the Giallorossi prepare to compete in three different competitions this season.
