Djed Spence Open to Liverpool Move Amid Tottenham Uncertainty
Tottenham Hotspur right-back Djed Spence is reportedly open to joining Liverpool.
Spence is not guaranteed a starting berth at Spurs next season, as Pedro Porro is viewed as the club’s first-choice right-back.

The 25-year-old also faces limited opportunities at left-back, especially following the signing of Andy Robertson.
Liverpool had challenges at right-back last season, with Jeremie Frimpong not meeting expectations and Conor Bradley missing a significant spell due to a knee injury.
Bradley has a history of injuries, and it remains uncertain if Frimpong will regain his optimal form next season.
As a result, Liverpool is contemplating a move for Spence to bolster their right-back position. The Spurs defender’s versatility, including his capability to play left-back, enhances his attractiveness to the Reds.
Tottenham would entertain offers of at least £35 million for the England international.

Spence had a significant role for the north London club last season, making 44 appearances across various competitions.
He earned a spot in the Three Lions’ squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, appearing eight times and contributing one assist during the tournament.
However, some analysts suggest Liverpool should reconsider signing the Spurs ace, as he may not represent a substantial improvement over Frimpong and Bradley, despite performing better in terms of fitness last term.
Given Liverpool’s also pressing need for centre-backs, targeting a player who can serve as both a central defender and right-back might be more beneficial.
Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa is seen as a more fitting option. His dual capability to operate at both centre-back and right-back would grant Liverpool enhanced tactical flexibility while strengthening their defense.
Liverpool and Arsenal have expressed interest in Konsa, who Villa value at around £60 million.
