Florian Bianchini’s Future at Swansea City Uncertain Following Pre-Season Absence
Florian Bianchini’s future at Swansea City appears uncertain as the French forward has been excluded from the Championship club’s pre-season training camp in Austria.
Swansea paid just under £2m to sign Bianchini from Bastia in August 2024, when he signed a contract valid until 2028.

However, the 24-year-old struggled to make a significant impact during his inaugural season in Wales and had a challenging loan spell at Portsmouth last year.
Bianchini, who is capable of playing both as a winger and a forward, netted three goals in 38 appearances—only eight of which were league starts—during his first year with Swansea.
During his loan at Portsmouth, he featured 11 times without scoring between August and November 2025, and his season was interrupted due to a knee injury.
In addition to Bianchini, centre-back Cameron Burgess and winger Eom Jisung did not travel with the Swansea squad following their participation in the World Cup.

Both players are expected to return to pre-season training after the trip. Meanwhile, New Zealand’s Marko Stamenic, another player who participated in this summer’s tournament, is set to join his teammates in Austria.
Cameron Congreve and Filip Lissah have made the trip after successful loan spells at Dundee and Falkirk, respectively, last season.
Young prospects Evan Watts, Arthur Parker, Thomas Woodward, Carter Heywood, and Dan Watts are also included in the squad, though Ben Lloyd is absent following his time at Newport County.
Swansea is scheduled to play three friendly matches during their week-long training camp.
They will face German second-tier teams Holstein Kiel on Saturday, 18 July (15:30 BST), and VFL Bochum—managed by former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler—on Tuesday, 21 July (17:00 BST), before concluding with a match against Italian Serie A club Udinese on Friday, 24 July (12:00 BST).
