Juventus Shareholders Approve Accounts Ahead of Transfer Budget Investment

Headline: Juventus Secures Shareholder Approval for €250 Million Capital Increase to Enhance Team Investment

Juventus shareholders have successfully approved the club’s latest financial accounts and endorsed a capital increase of up to €250 million, with at least €100 million earmarked for new investments primarily focused on enhancing the squad. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, 99.9% of shareholders granted the board the authority to initiate this capital increase during a meeting at Allianz Stadium on Tuesday. The move aims to fortify the club’s financial standing, boost competitiveness in sports, upgrade key properties like the stadium, and enhance the brand image.

The accounts for the 2025-26 fiscal year reflected a loss of €66 million, an increase from a loss of €58.1 million the previous year. This rise in loss is primarily attributed to the club’s failure to secure a place in the Champions League.

Exor, the majority shareholder of Juventus with a 65.4% stake, has pledged to cover its portion of the capital increase as well as any shares that may be declined by other shareholders. Exor has already contributed €60 million as an advance payment.

Approximately 45-50% of the overall capital increase will be directed towards improving the balance sheet over this season and the next, leaving around €100 million available for investment, with the first team being the top priority. Giovanni Carnevali, the general manager, assured fans of “commitment and seriousness” in the upcoming January transfer window, though he acknowledged that the club’s settlement agreement with UEFA imposes restrictions on their action.

This development follows Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Napoli, where goals from Kerim Alajbegović and Jérémie Boga provided relief to head coach Luciano Spalletti.
